Sorry no picture cause I don't wnat anyone to figure out where it is he he. I found a fj45 shortbox with removeable top sitting in a barn under a bunch of junk. I haven't unburried it yet but from what I have uncovered it's all there and I don't see any rust anywhere on the body. It's just covered in junk and dust.
I've already made up my mind that I want it. I just got to talk the guy that ownsthe property it into selling or giving it to me. I don't think He know's what he's got there.
Sometimes it's good to be a garbageman:D

I know that I have siad this before, but
I AM ON THE WRONG FAWKIN COAST!!!

Never happen here. Rust demons would have eaten it long ago.

Then again, poking around on peoples property here will get you shot......:D

I know what cruiser you're talking about. I saw it a while back. The guy doesn't have the paper work for it. Buy it, give it to me and I'll get it registered for you. I have a hook in Motor Vehicles that can register it in my name than I'll sign the title over to you  :trooper:

You and me both, bro! :)

Rust? On the East Coast? Surely you jest??

Seriously, FJ45 SWB with removable tops are pretty cool, not quite as desirable as the LWB's, but definitely more than the SWB with fixes top. If you can get it, by all means, do so!

Yeah right:flipoff2:

Well I went back today to talk more with the guy and to hopefully bring it home. Here's the story.
Jim, the guy cleaning up the place, said his grandfather died a couple of months ago and he, his brother and his nephew are cleaning the place to sell. The nephew, who was there today, knows what it is. Anyhow he had a car hauler there and was taking it back to Los Angeles with him and basically told me to get lost. It was a perfect bodied 45. No rust, clean interior and it even turned over but would not fire. According to the nephew, who was about 19-20, the rig has been sitting there as long as he can remember. The last registration tags said 1978! I still asked how much and he just smiled and said sorry not for sale. I can only hope that he restores it to original and does not do a chop job on it. It wouldn't take much to put it on the road and it would be one of the nicest 45 around.

Bummer dude. I really hope it is not hacked up too. That would really be too bad.

There are more out there....
