:beer: Dose any body know of any automatic trannys that would fit behind a AMC 304 V8 with out any adaptors and still bolt up to a Dana 20 t-case with out any adaptors

I think the TH400/d20 from a waggy or J series truck will. Can't swear to it but believe it was used behind a 360 as well as a 225V6. They have a different bell bolt pattern than a GMC Th400.

On the CJ's with 304's the GM TH-400 from '76-'79 and then from '80-'86 the Chry. 999.
The J trucks used the 400 with the quadra-trac '71-79 and the 727 was in the waggys '80-'91 and trucks '80-'87
