Recently my 6.2L smokes big clouds of whitish smoke on startup. It's been getting steadily worse and actually started happening immediately after I accidentally bumped the fuel tank switch in between and ran the fuel system dry. It is getting progressively harder too start. I still need to get the injectors cleaned but I am physically unable to do the work. What do you think is causing the hard starting and smoking?

I'm not much of a diesel guy but are you letting your glow plugs heat up enough? I know that my dads bj40 smoked like crazy on start up until he swapped out the jobber glowplugs and put Toyota brand plugs in. Might be something to check.
By the way do you still want that tire?

Maybe I should put new glow plugs in then. I checked the otehr day and they were about $16 each.
Yes I still want that tire. I'll give you a call about it on the weekend okay?
