Couldn't resist posting. Bill John found these ahead of hitting the stands. The first is from the Canadian Superlift and the second is from Ramsey Nationals in Pa.

I thought maxing the ramp was when you drive off the other side...:)

I didn't say maxing out the ramp. I said maxing out on the ramp.
I guess even a stock Liberty would max out on the ramp too......LOL. Hey 1090 on a 30 ain't too bad. Yes I have seen some trucks drive off a ramp, but I think there are times when too much flex will hinder offroad ability. I find a nice well ballanced truck works for me.:flipoff2:

Kudos, M.L. I saw your rig (and yer face) in the latest issue of 4WD & Sport Utility and wondered if you were among us.

Good Job!:D

I don't think I've ever hit my rockers:flipoff2:
I use them as steps for the GF. They are only Aluminum and very thin at that.

They did get alittle beaten against a tree once, so I will replace them soon with something beafy.

Damn is that the best you can do:flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:
Man who posts sh*t twice:D :D :D :D :D

John, I've got some steel ones that I used to run on the Sidekick that you can have. Can't remember the length, somewhere over 24" I'm fairly certain...

Thx Chris, but I think I am going to do the rocker panel style with built in bars. 3/16 plate steel , bent, and 1 1/2" pipe bars with stand-offs. Simple design, easy to make, bolt to the body. It will also help with clearance at the rockers.

Hey Mudlite,
My set up is failry close to yours (though it's not done yet) in that I'm running a 4.3L Vortec, 700R4, dana 300 and front and rear d44's (scout II's). Have you broken many axles and or u joints with the 38's? The reason I'm asking is I've got a chance to pick up a full width d44 and a 60 for $100 (CDN) and I'm wondering if I should go that route instead. I plan on running 37's on the trail (probably 35's on the street just to keep Johnny law looking else where). The extra width of the full width stuff would be helpful for my coil set up in the front (widened, actually custom frame to accept the vortec manifolds).
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,

Dave

Yeah, you only have like a 45* breakover angle right now. That's gotta suck

What are you on about now??????????
my little 18" aluminum nerb bars are above the frame rails, the new rockers will not improve on this.

Who said my breakover angle was bad anyway:confused:

I don't think i have ever hit my t-case . I guess I shouldn't pull my rear axle back any further either, because it will also reduce my breakover angle.

BALLANCED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My opinion, 60 on a Zuk is way to much overkill!!!!!!
why loose the ground clearance. I have broken two front axle joints, but only when winching.

testy, testy. sheesh, mud you have a pretty defensive outlook on life.
i *think* yotasan was being ironic, so in fact, that would make his statement a compliment.....

Yep - Ironic. Sorry. :emb3:

I was trying to make a joke about how it was funny that you didn't want to give up and clearance under your rocker, when (relative to WB and tire size) I would have to put my Toy on 44+" tires to be in the same boat.

Not testy? If I were testy, I would be thowing out some good little red icon dudes, and talking in capitals. I was just trying to clarify his meaning.

Mud-Lite, how do you like the radius arms up front w/ the 1/4 in the rear?? Did you extend the radius arms?? I picked up an rc44 with the arms and everything still attached for $30 so I'm thinking about using them. Thanks

mudlite

I love the Ford radius arms now. I hated them at first, No flex!!! You can either 'wrist' one like I did, or buy the new James Duff kit.
Both have the same sesults...............lots of flex.

As for the 1/4 eliptic, it is realy 3/4 eliptic , and was a miss print.
I'm not sold on 1/4 eliptic. I like simple designs that work.
My front is well ballanced with the rear now, which added big time to the stability factor.
