Who in Sacramento or near can re-tube a D44. it is out of a 78/79 bronco and would like to retube it so I can put into a YJ.

not to jump in on your post here, but how much $$$ is someone looking at if they want to get a D44 re-tubed?

are you lengthening the axle? if your putting it on a YJ you probably just need it cut down and I don't think you'll need to retube, unless the tubes are bent.

No, I want to get rid of all the ford stuff attached to the tube.

Grady's Extreme Off Road,(builder of the Jackyl) will retube your axles. He does awsome work.

I would go to Off-Road Enterprizes in Stocton. I think some of the axle guys around Sac send their axles there instead of doing the work themselves.

Bob does not like to do them and will charge you accordingly so as to not have to do them or make them worth his wild.

Welder Boy is a pro at this. He does great work at a good price. His # is 916-628-9364.

If you do it yorself don't forget to turn the inside for the axle seal.
