what do you guys think about putting a 79 hd f250 d60 under a yj. I know that I would have to get it cut to size but ddo you think that it would be to much of a pain in the a$$ or would it be worth it? let me know your .02

it is a rear axle. do you have any idea how much it'll be to cut it down about 4".

Don't cut it down, wider is better.

if i dont cut it down it'll be hanging out about three inches wide on each side and i'd like to do 1and a half or so.

if you only do the rear you will have to cary 2 spares (one 8-lug, one 5 lug) if you are going to do it do front and rear......................FWIW cutting the axle down costs about 175/axle

and it is kind of illegal to run outside your fenders in ca. not that i havn't seen a lot of people do it.
