Ford 8.8 axle dia.??

I'm looking to have a set of traction bars made for it. Like the ones that M.O.R.E. make for the D35 axle. Someone said once that the dia. of the axle tubes are'nt the same size; anyone know if this is true? What dia are the axle tubes?
