Hey all,
I'm thinking of purchasing a 700R4 transmission from a company that specializes in them called Bowtie Overdrives in Hesperia CA.
Anyone on the board have any experience with them or their transmissions?
Thanks,
Jake

Have you compared them to ART CARR?

Yes.
Not to dog on them or anything, but I've heard a lot of bad stuff about Art Carr lately. Like that they've been bought out by a couple of other tranny shops and the quality is gone... And that Art himself no longer has anything to do with day to day operations and he's trying to get his name taken off the transmissions they sell...
That's just what I heard.
Can anybody confirm this?
Jake

Thats to bad because they built some good trannys. A buddy has a 700r4 in his bronco behind a stroked 416ci windsor motor. 525hp on a dyno. Engine dyno, not to the rear wheels. But no problems in three years.

I would say try your local guy first. That way, when it cooks you can say fix this mother scratcher.
