Hello all,
I've searched but found nothing concrete.(I guess everyone starts their questions like that!!)
Anyone know of a good write up for welding the spider gears in the centre diff.( like what exactly to do with the front shaft support, bushing+ machining etc....)
Also any commenys about having done this and regretting/loving it.
I want the BCB spool but production time is unknown.
Any help would be appreciated.

we can supply a kit for £ 125, it consists of some bits to go in the centre diff and 2 free wheeling hubs for an early 110,

Do the Ashcroft deal. They have it sorted out for you.

If you are semi competent, you can easily do it yourself. The Bearing set is also easy, but requires a machine shop to make a few cheap cuts.

How much for the kit with no free wheeling hubs. I am assuming you are with Ashcroft?

Tanks all,
I've been thinking about the Ashcroft kit also thinking about welding it. What I would want to know Puffdragon, is what exactly do you mean by getting a couple of cheap cuts done. Could you please explain in a simple manner so that I would be able to translate to machinist, or does someone have some drawings/pics they would like to share.
Dave, thanks for your reply(do you have a Canadian vendor) or at least could you tell me if there is a vendor on the eastern seaboard????
That's too bad you can't get the kit w/o the hubs, I've got d44 so the hubs wouldn't even get unwrapped!!!
BCB is still an option and the best one I believe but I'd love to see this project move after 3+ years. ( I know that's pathetic but no heat in the winter kind of slows a project down!!! lol)

The hole that the front shaft side gear runs in will need to be enlarged slightly, and the frotn output shaft will need to have the splines turned off of it. These measurements are reliant on a bearing that will replace the side gear to maintain the front shafts alignment etc. I have a welded diff here, but it has not had the machine work done yet. I guess I could put up pics. if you need them.

Puffdragon,
That would be most appreciated. I think I know what you mean in general but a pic is always the best. Actually if you have a few pics and maybe indicate with tip of pen or something that might be good too. Any ideas on the bearing or bushing that needs to be put in place.(Or am I way off here.)
Thanks
