: Hmmm, Great price on 37's ! What to do?
I just got a great price on GOODYEAR MTR'S 37x12.50 R 15
$1000.00 for 4, Not bad considering they list at 580.00 each.
And they only weigh 56 lbs each.
Versas, 38x12.50 15 Super Swamper sx's at 71 lbs each and a total for 4 of 750.00.
Looks like a new set of MTR's are coming as soon as the income tax return comes in. :D
:skull:
TNToy 02-15-2002, 09:36 AM $250 each? Rock! You could make a living selling them on PBB for $275 - if you could keep getting them at that price. :cool2:

Sounds like a sweet deal...But I would rather know where you are getting the Swampers for $750? Is this an Internet deal or a "Hey buddy, can you hook me up" deal?
Well the price on the MTR's is because they are "adjusting" my current 35 mtr's. so I can only get 5 at that price.
The price on the 38's is at Pro Trucks in Murrysville Pa. I buy lots of stuff there and If I want them I have to pay cash. this is because he has to add extra costs for a Credit card. He told me they have them in stock and I can have them in no time.
for the diffrence in prices I can have another set of rims for the 38's and keep my 35's for Mall Crawling :D
That way the 38's would last way longer..... hmmm
Edit: One other thing that keeps poping up in my mind is... The weight of the tires on my poor Dana 30 front end...
do I stay with 35's or press my luck with 37's or Really press my luck with the heavy 38's???????
1TONTJ 02-15-2002, 10:07 AM They make 37's in a 15" rim? Thought is was only for 17"?
Phil
1TONTJ 02-15-2002, 10:10 AM Never mind - found it on their site. Available in 15" or 17"
I guess it is just the dummies at BFG who only make them in 17"
Phil
offroadr35 02-15-2002, 10:14 AM buy the MTRs and sell them for a huge profit. Then you can get whatever tires you want and still have cash left.

bigdude 02-15-2002, 10:17 AM I run 36 SX's on my d30. I know they are at least 56 lbs each. Just carry a spare set of shafts or two.
I'd get the MT/R's, sell them to someone for a profit. Then buy the 38's, pocket the extra money, and build a 60.:flipoff2:
Rubicrawler 02-15-2002, 10:28 AM Buy the 37's on run 'em:D I've been told that they are a great tire.
I wish I could get 4 for a grand!

Steve, that sounds good, But there really isn't many other people here that would buy them. I would have to sell them to some one out your way.
I think I will have to think this over some more. good thing I have time on my side on this one.
milkman 02-15-2002, 10:48 AM Belly,
I know you like the MTRs , There is just something about the swampers though...Carry some extra axle shafts on the trail... stick with factory ones..its a good , easliy replaceable fuse...
Milk
Jim, Do you think I have enough clearance for 38's?
I think I do, I know they are going to rub. But I dont think they will rub to the point of hampering the travel.
I would rather not trim the front. But I dont mind trimin the back.
gunracer1 02-15-2002, 12:22 PM just stay out of the mud and you will like'em
1MutCJ7 02-15-2002, 03:52 PM I'd love to take those tires off your hands if you weren't so dang far away :D

well the standard 17" rim holds the bead better than a 15" rim on that size tire that's why the "dummies" only offer it in a 17" rim because most people don't run bead locks on their show trucks. lol :D :flipoff2: :D :D
