SOR here imports used 45 parts. He has s stack of imported used 1 ton 45 rear springs. He said that they will give me a lift of about 2 inches over stock and improve ride. He has always been honest but this sounds odd to me. He wants $100 each. That is compared to $275 each for OME springs.
Thanks!

I dunno about the lift, I guess it could be possible, but "improved ride"? If they're the same 1-ton springs that came stock on Venezuelan FJ45's, they're THICK, and the ride will be harsh unless the truck is loaded. Price does seem unbeatable, though.

Old Man Emu 201's for FJ45's via their US distributor (ARB) will be more than $275 per spring. This means everone is supposed to buy through ARB including Specter. Unless Marv is cutting that corner, I can't see those springs going for under $300, and at that they would be very low!
Remember also, Alcan's are $175 or so each for 45's
K5 style Blazer springs will work (not sure front or rear), many makers.

$275 was from another vendor. I did not talk to Marv about those at all yet

Lift, don't know, Ride, define, tighter, harder, less roll? or softer flexier? In general Australian vechiles of the same type use heavier (tighter) springs.
Hope this helps

i agree taht one-ton springs would give you a harsh ride--I mean, the name says it all; One Ton!
Allways good to know you Yankies do need us Skips.
I think you will find those springs real stiff but you should get some lift from them.
Also be carefull i dont know if you had 2 different spring eyes but we had small eyes and large eye springs.
ruff is right, they come in 2 different size eyes.
are they 7 or 9 leaf? (i think)
i would say that they will give you the lift as the ute sits higher than the lwb or swb but it is to allow for the added weight caring compasity. they will be hard.
