What these things have to do with a friendly, no pressure competition is beyond me. Do you always win in these things you list? I don't think so... Nobody always wins in any sport.

Any you're saying "Bring it awn" to everything in world except wheeling. In the recent post about "I would like to compete but...", did you reply "I won't compete because I have to win."?

No I dont always win in those events. But I am equipt to win in those events.

I have a mt bike that can win and I have the skills to win.

I have a water ski that is up to the challange and I have the skills to win.

I have the snow ski's andtheability.

But I have a wall (room)built around my jeep and won't tear it down till it's time to cut it a apart (the jeep that it) and have a new and improved jeep. Hell if the motor hadn't blown in mine I take it with the fawked frame. It's all about fun man. The few times I went out the only compition there was, was with myself. Everybody I've been with is cool, and any razing is in fun. So IMHO, it's you against an obstical. That's the competition. If you don't go, you already lost. If you go and even if you don't make the obstical you win. All the guys I have wheeled with at least repect you for trying. All that being said come awn and let's get it. the wall is in uniontown,,, i couldnt begin to tell you where though..... i would look to do ohh 7 and 8 trails........ they aRE CHALLENGING BUT NOT IMMPOSSIBLE... IMHO THE 5 AND 6 TRAILS ARE WAAY TOO LAME... FOR ANYTHING BUT STOCK......

Also concider different classes. Maybe not the same as calrocs. But I know my 4runner and say Welby's jeep have no chance in hell against Rob's Jeep.

I'm not afriad of anything, but I would rather compete against something I may have a chance at beating. Rob's jeep runs, last time I saw it, high pinion 9's , f&r lockers, 39's, terra low gears, and there's some other things I may not know about. My 4runner on the other hand has dual cases, 35" swampers, welded rear, open front, and stock axles, stock rear springs, and 4" lift front springs. And Welby's jeep, for now, has 35's, stock axles with stock l/s in the rear, open front, and 4" / susp. lift.

If I'm going to pay $25 to compete, I'd like to atleast have a chance. Not just donate my $25. I don't have a problem with the $$$. I've wheeled with Welby and his jeep works great. My 4runner would have a hard time with him or Belly,s jeep.

I'd like to see it with classes for tire size. One class for 36" and down and another for 37" and up. They could all be run at the same time with a class # on each rig. If Rob wants to run 2 classes, great, let him put his 39's on and run. Then go put some 36's on, go to the end of the line and run again.

Damn!! The winch issue just killed me. I was planning on coming over to try some new trails. Is there any way of talking some folks that don't want to compete into setting up at the hard obstacles to be winch crews. Maybe an extra 20 points if you have to winch and don't have your own? I've only needed a winch a couple of times and it's always been cuz I was broke as a mutha. That's probably the reason I've never bought one, $800 is the other reason.

Oh yeah, what's so special about the badlands that you need to be in top shape. Are you running Troy's trail? That's the only thing that is difficult over there. I haven't gotten to run that one yet, but I'm doing it in June. I did just smash my A-pillar and windshield over there last weekend, showing off is a baaaadddd thing.

Everyone is complaining about classes, A competition has a lot more to do with how well you drive, how well you know your vehicle, your commen sense, and strategy, than tire size! If you know the ability of your rig, know the ability of you driving skills you can take your rig places with 33's someone can't take his with 42's.

Just last year a big dogs in the best of the best, there was a tj with 4 inch lift 33x12.50 bfg's locked front and back stock axles, not sure of gears. He was in first place for all of the first day, and all but the last 200 yards of the last trail. If he would have had swampers and or just beedlocks in my opinion he would have won. He blew a bead and ripped a side wall out of his bfg's basically at the same time, he timed out and couldn't finish the trail and therfore lost. He copmpeted up against everysize tire, every kind of axle and everykind of mod someone could do. But he had 33 inch tires and SHOULD have won. He knew his capabilities knew when to pull the winch knew when to hit the gas, he knew his rig bottom line!!

He copmpeted up against everysize tire, every kind of axle and everykind of mod someone could do. But he had 33 inch tires and SHOULD have won. He knew his capabilities knew when to pull the winch knew when to hit the gas, he knew his rig bottom line!!


yeap.... i was there too.....a couple of guys at canfield had 35's... they did good.... ive seen many smaller tired rigs do better... all over... tellico, bigdogs, paragon, hell CJ, what about LEE he has nothingas far as equipment and the dude is right there with us....... hers a couple pics....

Trying to figure out how far this is from me.

I know this is a little late, but if the date is set in stone on May 25, then damn :( maybe next time. Truck is undergoing some mods that time...plus it's a busy month for me....I would've been one of the few (or only) fullsize too :) Get to represent the bigger toys :) Should be ready sometime in June though...trying to hit up the Bigdogs event this year.
I'm super competitive by nature and don't care about classes or anything like that. I hate all the shit talk though. If you guys are really going to do this it needs to have a vehicle limit on it, so it doesnt get so overcrowded like bob hazels event's do EVERY YEAR , are you just going to adopt the calroks rules if so cool. I suggest to plan,plan and more planning to pull it off without a problem, and I'm in ,I need a registration form:D

ok guys im gonna through some opinions reasons and such out there.... remember as with anything.... it may start off ruogh, but can and will get better...

#1 classes.... each participant will get 2 shirts one spotter and one driver..... trphies will be given out... for a list of reasons and placement....

if we start seperateing into classes we will have tio buy double the trophies.... we are trying to keep the cost down.... other events are charging 300$ and there is alot of cash on the line.... its possible this could turn into something in the future but for the first one... KISS (keep it simple stoopid)

this is on private land and no one is allowed on unless premier is there.... people are paying alot more just to go on a trail ride at offroad parks....

if the turnout is good and the demand for another is there.... it may just end up having classes....cash for placing... etc....

OK, I'm gonna harp on this damn winch issue. Not that I think I'll need a winch, but......I'm almost equipped enough, but if nobody is going to turn around or at least be positioned at the winch obstacles I can't justify driving my sorry ass that fawkin' far(I'll be skippin' a day or 2 of school also). To be completely honest, it seems to me that this is going to be one giant trail run that you're getting scored on. If that's the case, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get a tug from the guy in front of you. The times that I have spent on some fun trails with larger groups makes for some serious down time due to waiting. I hope we can work something out, cuz I really want to see badassjeepguy's rig in action, plus I want to see some new trails that are fun and less than a day's drive away.

Was it down at Creek Falls this summer. When you guy went to the falls then up the rock trail were the ford ranger is ( was ) ? I think I remember seeing it. I think the blue bronco was last up the trail.
