you probibly need a cv shaft

the blocks were angled to keep the pinion angle good

When you say this, do you mean the pinion centerline is aligned with the driveshaft centerline? Unfortunately, this setup is a bad wear situation for the rear ujoint. It doesn't move enough to get good lubrication. But it works.

Anything less you probably will need a driveshaft with CV's on both ends.

i had the same problem on my 77 blazer. 6" superlift w/ 35s except that my vibration was at 60 on up. i ended up putting in a piece of 2X2 steel tubing between the frame and the t-case crossmember. this lowered the tcase down to reduce the angle on the upper ujoint. watch your distributor/firewall clearance when doing this if you chose to... at the time i couldnt afford a new driveshaft so improvised. the only negative is that it reduces ground clearance by 2"... but if you didnt want to spend the money you could try this... good luck!

it does more than take 2'' of ground clearance away, it creates a more of an angle on the front shaft by pointing the yoke in the air. but with a 6'' and a 208 u shoud be ok doing it, but try an inch first, 2'' is alot. usually the way i see it done is peopel take the spacers that sit above the frame rails and put them between the crossmemeber and the frame. try that first, if it works out, then make somethign solid to that their place, dont let it that way, they can punch a hole intot he frame or crossmemeber

alright cool ill try that with the spacers first ive never experianced this because ive never had a short wheel base ive only had a 87 suburban with a 6 inch and 3 inch body and a 3/4 ton ext. cab long bed dodge with a 8 inch and 3 inch body
