Those of you that have used Reverse Cut Dana 44 front axles, is your pinion flange directly in-line with the transfer case? I ask because I know that the pad is cast in on the wrong side (when there is a pad). I know that you just butt a normal pad up against the hog's head but I wasn't sure if you could get it right inline. I just measured a stock Toy axle and the horizontal distance from the pinion nut to the middle of the spring pad is seven inches. I also measured the horizontal distance from the pinion nut to the middle of the spring pad on a Chevy (pass side drop) Dana 44 and it was eight inches? What is your measurement? I would like to keep the pinion straight in front of the t-case output so it is only operating in one plane.
