how do you remove and replace the wheel studs for 97 ford explorer, it's a 8.8 with disc brake.

pull the shaft, then beat them out with a bfh.

u mean i need to take off the differ and take off the whole thing to get the studs????
cannt i just remove the caliper, rotor and do it from there??

what's a differ?

Just take the cover off, pull the c-clip, and pull axle (after removing caliper), then pound out the studs. Pulling an axle will take about 3 minutes.

You can't pound the 8.8 studs out without removing the axls. The backing plate is in the way.
