I want to throw a np 435 into my 90 cherokee. I'm gonna modify a t-150 bellhousing to have a hydraulic slave cylinder and a CPS sensor. What input shaft for the 435 works best? Can you get the 31 spline output shaft resplined to 23 and modify the tcase adaptor to mate to a 231 or 300?

I HAVE A NP 435 BEHIND MY 4.0 IN MY TJ... I DO NOT KNOW THE FLOOR PAN OF THE CHEROKEE, BUT I HAD TO DO ALITTLE TRIMMING TO MAKE THE 435 WORK.. WITH OUT IT HANGING DOWN ON THE GROUND... I DID BUY THE BELL HOISING FOR THE SWAP, I TRIED TO FIND AN EASY SOLUTION TO MKE MY OLD BELL HOUSING AND THE 435 WORK... BUT NOT TO BAD I HAVE A HYDRAULIC CLUTCH STILL AND IT WAS AN EASY BOLT UP.... WELL GOOD LUCK WITH THE PROJECT.. WHAT TRANSFER CASE ARE YOU GOING TO RUN???
BY THE WAY MY 435 CAM OUT OF A F350.....

If you get a Dodge version of the 435 from an 80 or newer it will have the 23 spline and the adapter will bolt right to either the 231 or 300.

I think that I'll use a clocking ring and the 231 for now. I'd like to run a 300 later maybe. Does the Dodge 435 have the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the ford's? Which clutch do you run?
