Ok So I need to know does the 700 use the same slip youke as the 400 on the out put shaft like do they have the same spline count. Most unlikly I guess

89 700 and a 73 400

I believe that the 700 is splined the same as a th350....

700r-4 27 spline
th400 32 spline

count the splies and get back to us.........:D

just to conferm (so I know what part to get) were the 400 alwys 32 spline (just cuz I have heard some tranys change ther outpunt shaft in some years) like will a 1968 400 slip yoke fit a 86 400 out put shat

in case you dont know this is for a 2wd truck but I guess you have figgured that out
