: The "G" spot Jeep
sickfab 02-14-2005, 08:58 PM Hey, I am mostly a Toyota guy, but I thought I'd throw up some pics of a Jeep that I helped build that I think is pretty cool.
Specs:
CJ7 extended W.B. ~103? ( I forgot, maybe Gary will chime in)
AMC 304
NP 465
2 Toyota 'cases, 4.7 in the rear case.
full width chevy 4d44 front, Chromos ARB and all the shit
Uncut Bronco 9" rear ARB
37" MTRs
Lots of other details
sickfab 02-14-2005, 09:00 PM Winch, 9.5 Ti
sickfab 02-14-2005, 09:04 PM Took it to Glen's for the shakedown run
Tydes 02-14-2005, 09:04 PM what springs are on the front? There huge, why didnt you use some springs with an off set pin?
sickfab 02-14-2005, 09:06 PM They are 44044's None of the equipment was my decision. I just helped put it together.
sickfab 02-14-2005, 09:07 PM Oh, check out the belly. It was a bitch.
sickfab 02-14-2005, 09:09 PM :d
sickfab 02-14-2005, 09:11 PM More....
1GreenJeep 02-14-2005, 09:11 PM Sweet looking build but...why is the guy in the first pic groping himself and looking confused? Did he find something he didn't expect? Nice work on the belly!
J
sickfab 02-14-2005, 09:13 PM Glen's got a cool little rockpile.....
sickfab 02-14-2005, 09:17 PM Well, our day was cut short due to a slashed tire, but I'll post more in the future.... (damn MTRs!)
Later John
JeepinDoug 02-14-2005, 09:23 PM That doesn't look too tall for 44044s. Are they new, used or missing a leaf?
Where did you stretch the front. I could see the steering box seems to be in the stock location but obviously the new front cross member is way forward.
Looks good.

We lopped off the whole front of the frame just ahead of the body mount because it was bent like a mo-fo. Its all fabbed out of 2x4" tube
Murfman 02-14-2005, 10:03 PM who needs approach angle when you have that kind of front end ? :flipoff2:
GaryTJ 02-14-2005, 10:11 PM Looks like it would be fun to play with. Don't bring it to Washington though. Exhaust is not legal in this state for off road use. Must have a spark arrester (baffled muffler)

It's not legal here either, but if you don't have to smog it then what's stopping you from having it?

Just stay away from the Liberal "West-side" :flipoff2: of the state and you'll be fine. :smokin:

GaryTJ 02-14-2005, 10:21 PM Last summer the Rangers were on the trails giving out tickets for not having a "spark arrester" to those with glass paks.
East side mostly, but were on both sides.
87JeepWrangler 02-15-2005, 04:03 AM what size tube did you use for the belly?
geberhard 02-16-2005, 09:53 AM Sweet setup, the belly work came out nice :D

I'd be screwed then as I don't have room for anything but glasspacks.
I forsee super traps in my future :D
