Hello, does anyone know where the trailer light wires on a TJ are? On other vehicles that I've owned there's a cluster of wires near the receiver that you can tap into....but I can't seem to find anything like that on my Jeep. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

No such luck. The rear tail lights run down either side of the rig. not down one side and across the back. Just pick up a hitch manufaturers harness then you get water tight connectors and don't have to hack wiring.

simple...

Drives side rear corner. Where the wires go to the lights should be a connector, unconnect and reconnect with a trailer wire set up in between.

Go to any trailer/sears/auto parts store for the tail, and it will just plug into both sides of the factory wires...

theres two ways to wire a TJ. One is to buy a Draw Tite plug in wiring kit that plug in under the plastic on the under side of the rear corner. The other way is un bolt the tail lights and tap on to those wires.

jeep makes a plug in harness that takes about 10 minutes to install. no cutting & splicing required.
