Just bought a CJ5. My front tire rubs the driver side header on sharp left turns...
Besides SOA, full size axles, or inside frame shorty headers, etc... Is there a cheap easy way to fix this?
What about a wheel spacer or something? If I could find like a 1" spacer for each of 4 corners that might do it... What do you all think???

Smaller tires.
Cheap way, don't turn so sharp!

why space all four corners? just space the front. there's nothing wrong with having a little more width up front.
or there are some screws on the back of the knuckle that can be "backed-out" and serve as a turning stop. Just back the screw out a little to limit your turning to save your tires. You can change the backspacing of the wheels. there are several possibilities. How big are the tires?

Adjust your steering stops. You won't lose much turning radius, but will solve the problem.

PLEASE tell me which screws are you referring to; AGAIN I AM A NEWBIE!!! I just went and checked it out and they all look like they serve a purpose, I don't want to accidently back out the wrong one!!!
You can change the backspacing of the wheels.
Also I am curious how to do that??? Does that mean I need new rims? Or is this the spacer way I was talking about???

It's a bolt on the knuckle.

I am assuming it is a D30. In this picture you can see two bright red tierod boots. look slightly above and to the right of those shiney red boots and you can sorta see a silver rectangle sticking out of the knuckle to the right. That is a bolt that can be screwed in and out. When you turn and the knuckle gets close to the axle housing, the head of the bolt hits the axle housing and stops the wheels from turning; hence - it is a steering stop.

my guess is that since you asked this question that you do not have wheels that can be recentered so you would either have to get different wheels or use the spacers to effectivley change the backspacing.
