: xj long arms

im thinking about puting RE long arms on my xj but im not sure
how to mount them. any sugestions.

My buddy macgyvr did it with all custom parts ... no RE stuff.

Also custom. Well ok, I re-used the bushings from my lcas and reused the ucas. The rest is from scratch.

how long are your arms? was the cross member hard to make?

If I remember correctly, they are 33.25 from centers of the bushings. The cross member is basically 4x2 .25" rect tubing and I mounted it to frame with 3x6 slabs of .25" steel welded together and bolted with 1/2 in. bolts. 3 in. angle iron would be a quicker route for the frame rail mounts.

All I did was made the crossmember and my mounts, then measured for the length of the arms.
