I need to replace the U-joint that attaches my front drive-shaft to the yoke on my 03' Rubicon. The U-joint NAPA sold me doesn't fit. The local stealership only wants $150 for the U-joint and so therefore I am asking if anyone knows where I can find this U-joint for slightly cheaper than $150.

I think that it is a 1330 but I can't remember. I would try calling Drive Train Direct or another drive train dealer.

stock yokes on a Runi are 1330, if you have converted to a RE yoke in the back it is a 1310 and you need a 1310/1330 conversion joint to go from the shaft to the axle

He was asking about the front drive shaft which shouldn't have been changed. So there for it is 1330.

Its a 1330 ujoint which if you go to most parts stores it is going to be a part number 2-4800. They can cross it from there in to their brand. But that should get you started.

Your DS yoke has nylon retainers. You can get special snap rings from a DS shop if you want, but they are still going to be strange junk.
Best bet is to go to a shop and have that shaft rebuilt with regular spicer 1330's, snap ring retainers, and a new cv section that excepts a greasable ball yoke.
DC cheaped out, and nothing on that shaft is spicer. The cv section wont except greasable spicer parts.
The local shop here does these for 200$ Canadian. So for the 150 you dealer wants, you can likely get a completely rebuilt shaft that has every day common parts in it.
Good luck

whoever told you 150 was way off, i can pick up 1330s at my local advance auto all day long for less than 20 bucks, try a different store

I went through the same thing. Spicer 5-212X is what I replaced it with. Hope that helps. Also nice retainer clips. Try changing the nylon pins u-joint on the trail. PITA. I think I paid about $40.00 CDN for it.
