Do many of you run these? I am going with toy axles soon and will have to buy new wheels. I can't find much on pricing for beadlock wheels, and just the DIY rings are around $300. I was just wondering if it would be better to buy beadlocks over the DIY rings. For now I will be running 33's and was wanting to get 15x10's. Or should I just stay with 15x8's and regular wheels? Thanks again for any input. JC

I would say that it depends on what type of wheeling you plan to do. Would airing down to 2 or 3 lbs be advantageous to your wheeling or not. If so I would say go for the locks. As far as them you can get a standard wheel with a lock from people like Eaton and Marsh. The run about 120 a piece. They are lighter weight setups for like circle track racers. I had a set of rock crawler wheels that I put a set of Greatlakes competition locks on. I ended up with a wheel and lock combo that will be way stronger than the circle track style.

My Marsh beadlocks ran a hair over $200 ea, after shipping it was a grand for 4 (got the rockcrusher rings). The cost included two material surcharges totalling an additional 20% Bought them last year.

I agree with Chris... The DIY are the best by far for the least expensive route. They aren't as flashy but if put together right they're great. I'm going the DIY route on my streeter. My high dollar rig got H1 rims with stazworks poly inner beadlocks and 66cjdean rings. I have about $600 into them without recentering them... so it'll be over a grand whether they get recentered or spacers (up front).

If you go with full-on beadlocks, I would go with my ocal boys, Trail-Ready. Seen them on tons of figs, not to mention my Pap's rig, and noone has ever had a problem with them not working or damaging beyong repair.

What can I say, I love my allied rockathon beadlocks. I got a whopper of a deal at 140 each. So I have 560 in 4 brand new Beadlocks. Was able to get free shipping too. No way I could pass on this deal!

Yea the rockcrawler wheels are higher. What I was refering to was the cheaper circle track versions.

I didn't even know they made a cheaper verson. I wonder how thick the locking ring is, I have managed to ding up the .25" thick rockcrusher rings pretty good in the 6 months I have run them.

i'm sure the ring is pretty thin but i wonder if you could get those wheels but get the rock rings and save alittle cash?
