I've searched everywhere and can't find a definitive answer.

I have a 2004 TJ and am selling the hardtop to someone with a 1997 TJ so I can pay for my ARB. :laughing:

Will this '04 hardtop physically fit a '97 Jeep? I'm specifically interested to know if the latches line up the same on the windshield header?

I know the wiring harness is different and the 04 top doesn't have vents but I'm not worried about that.

Yes it'll fit. I'm running an '03 top on my 2000 and it fits perfectly.

Yes it will fit, the only difference is in the wiring harness, it just needs to be modified slightly. I believe '97 to '00 or '02 wiring harness is all the same and in '03 and up they changed the harness, but basically that's all that is different
