Hello people

I am about to start building some long arms and was after some info on what rubber bushes u lot are using?? i think i read some where that the rubber bushes in cj spring bush kit are all the same, and they fit into 1.5" tube? is this correct? the arms will be adj so i will leave the lock nut off and the arm will turn on the thread to prevent bind up, so i will not need jonny joints or any thing like that (cos im cheap).

If cj bushes are right and they do fit in 1.5" tube what wall thickness do i need?

If there wrong what bushes are the rest of u using??

Thanks Shane

I used RE spherical joints on one end & the RE OEM rubber on the other until they came out w/ their new rubber 3-piece bushings which I now use...

I believe the three piece bushing is polyurethane.

Quote from RE website:

RE3761 Large Super-Ride Assembly - Innovative bushing design replaces factory bushings with a poly-bushing/plastic sleeve combo for a quiet, durable ride that can be field serviced. Will retro-fit all Rubicon arms.

interesting, when I spoke w/ their reps they told me it was rubber. if it is poly it's definitely some of the softest I've worked with.

Wtf mate? Search. PS, you guys are arguing over rubber bushings when I wouold be willing to bet that he means "poly, rubber, whatever". PPS, yj rear spring bushings are 1.5" od.

I am not trying to argue. If I am giving that impression, I apologize.
