Anybody heard of anybody putting the Vortec 4200 into any CJ's. Does anybody know if the bellhousing is going to be the same as other GM motors. Thanks

well since its so spankin new I don't think anyones found a totaled GM yet to swap in from. I would imagine it has the same bolt pattern as the LS1 and vortecs since those are the future of GM

A couple things I seem to recall from the mag writeups of that engine.

1. The numbers kick ass. Awesome torque down low as well as good HP.
2. The front axle passes through the oil pan or the bottom of the block? There was some goofy integrated front differential thing or something dumb.
