Charles Aarons, on this board, has one with a Perkins diesel and bunch of other mods. He stops in here occasionally; you might want to pm or email him.

You bet I drive my M37, Daniel, you know me. The TH400 version NP205 project is coming along, switching the output shafts (offset end) of a spare NP200 into a 205 to have offset rear output and to be able to marry a (Ford) NP203 reduction box to the front with WMS (www.wagonermachine.com) 3.6:1 gears to the front. I'm drooling over the possibility of 206:1 low range gearing in my M37; high range 5th is 3.91:1. Looks like I won't be able to use the E-brake unless I build a custom yoke for the center output. Which I might do, but first I want to get the thing put together and in.
The Perkins diesel is for a '42 WC53 Carryall, with a NP540 5spd and NP205, 4.89s and 37X12.5R16.5s. Hopefully that'll be on the road this summer.
Brutus, how are you modifying your M37?
