haha--its in the right forum now :D

whats the best way to upgrade your suspension on a budget? right now i have an '02 X, automatic, stock axles (i think dana 30 front, 35 rear)..ive heard some people say that they have had axles just break under pressure when they get an upgraded lift and tires and dont touch the axles. obviously, brand new D44's are out of the question, so i was wondering the cheapest and best way to upgrade my axles, so they won't break when i put on a 5.5" RE long-arm with 35" wrangler MT/R's

thanks in advance for any help!

Title should be "Upgrading Axles" right? Most people would say that 35s are at the upper end of a d30s capability. Same with the d35, Common swap out back is an explorer 8.8, 31 spline and 95-newer has discs. Front- superior makes a super 30 kit, comes with 30 spline shafts(versus stock 27) and a 30 spline ARB. You also have the weaker d30, one from an earlier (pre 2000?) one will be a high pinion with reverse cut gears, much better, as most would say that the ring gear is the waekest part of the d30.
