on the highway or cruising around 55 or faster...it will stay around 210 and then if i drive like that for a while...get to 220.

seems high to me, i have an electric fan...supposedly the radiator has been flushed, it is full of coolant, new thermostat, and new waterpump.

i have also cut out the inner fenders for more air flow...what gives?

mine was doing that and i changed the thermostat and everything. it ended up my timing chain was woren out and so was the head gasket. I dont know if that helps but thouhgt i would give my 2 cents. good luck

Should be running around 180 or 190. You have a problem.
Needle should be pointing below horizontal (maybe 3:30 on a clock face).
