I've been doing a little bit of work with the leaf springs in my XJ, mixing and matching and trying to find the right mix of load capacity and flex. I've seen a few rigs that are extremely flexible with leafs and I'm looking for a few tips. Aside from revolver shackles of course. I've already gotten around and extra 3" of droop out of them since the last time I played around with them. Any tips?

the right shackle angle and a long shackle help. the proper spring rate and thin leaves also help. If you try a bunch of stuff you will find something that works for you.

I rigged together my own double shackle setup and it game me about 3-4 extra inches of droop. Take a look http://fototime.com/ftweb/bin/ft.dll/pictures?userid={DE32913A-9942-4397-8DAF-31B15B980AD5}&tio=0

What did you use for those shackles? I just installed the Tomken lift yesterday and my shackle looks like your original one just sitting there...same angle.
