wondering if they would ride like crap. I like the sound of adding more load capacity to my rig.

I installed "helper" shocks on the back of my parents Astro van to stop it from sagging so badly when towing the boat (No tow package).
Didn't really change the ride quality, but it was "floaty" to begin with. They did raise the back end up about an inch.
My dad said he would buy them again. Ours are Monroe brand, though.
