Can someone tell me the difference between the Skyjacker and Superlift suspensions? My search didn't give me any clear cut answers. I've got an '88 'burban that needs new springs and from my perspective I can't see any reason to spend the extra $ on Skyjacker. Any info or opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Melissa

i have a 6" super lift on my 84 blazer. i have leaf in the front and blocks in the back. so far its been okay...except that now it looks like the rear is sitting a bit lower then the front... i dunno y. but yea superlift is not bad for the price.

I don't have much trail time on them yet but my Skyjacker rides pretty nice.Nicer on the highway than my tow rig with ifs. I'm told they are the best unless you get Alcans or Nationals.

Skyjacker suspension is a softer ride than Superlift even on the 6" & 8" lifts. I still have a pair of Skyjacker 8" front springs on my 72 K20, they haven't sagged at all and they have been on there since 1994.

I had a 4 inch skyjacker on my blazer and i had to add a leaf to not rub my 35's after adding the leaf i still had to take the sawsall to the fenders so i love the travel i get out of them

I know this should probably be on another thread but what about compared to the cheap-o genuine springs with pro-comp shocks, they go for about half the price, is it worh it?

pro comp springs are way stiff, and im sure the genuine shit ones are worse. get the superlifts and use some good shocks. i have superlift springs on the front of my 88, and it rides like a caddy. well, a caddy with out of round tires.

Superlift should be called super stiff!
I have Tuff Country EZ-Rides on my K5, awesome springs with ORD shackle flip.
Depends on what you are looking for, if flex is what your after and no towing go with EZ-Rides, if you are going to tow and carry stuff get something stiffer but it won't wheel as good if you like crawling.
My buddy has Skyjacker on his K5, flex ok too.

Thanks for the chart. The vehicle this suspension is for will only do moderate wheeling so droop isn't all that important. I just don't want to be rattled to death on the freeway.

Skyjacker also have anti friction pads, which make it a smoother ride.

go with skyjacker, I've had both and super lift are super stiff and break and bend, I have 8" skyjacker on my fullsize with 44's with no problems, they have been very abused for 4 years and still sit level, no kinks and still smooth, my boys truck with super lift beat the truck apart, then fell apart themselves, both rear springs had broken leaves and the front sagged to one side, super lift is junk no matter what price.
