Has anyone bought and used the $400 bender from Medford tools that is advertised on here. I looked on the website and it looked legit.

Not "trying" to get flamed here, but I bought a HF bender, and it isn't bending 90 degree bends good enough for a cage. I thought if I did the pack with sand it would work like a few people here said it would, but the other 99% were right and it isnt working out... So am looking at one of the benders. they all look the same and all cost 300 bucks with a degree ring... So is any one better than any other one? and does anyone sell them for less?

Last question, the one with the highest chance of flamage, is there any reason to not get a pipe die with the bender. sched 40 is so much cheaper than dom, and sched 40 has a little thicker wall so for rails and bumpers and stingers, I think it will handle the gouges better...

They are all pretty much the same, but if you are going to be using it a bit I would opt for the Pro-tools. I have a JD2 and have used a PT105HD and think it is a better constructed machine and easier to use.
Even though people will rag on pipe and say it is for "poop" I think you will be fine for the items that you mentioned. Just use clean material so you don't score the followers on the bender. If you decide to do a cage I would recommend stepping up to real tube, but there have been many cages made from pipe that have worked well for years.
