1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo For Sale
Vin-1J4GZ58S9pC670611
Well the time has come to part ways with my Grand. It has been a great vehicle for me but I’ve had my heart set on a TJ and I think I may just have found the right one.
Original Options-
4.0 engine
242 Transfer Case
Power Windows
Power Locks
Cloth Interior
Power Seats
Power Mirrors
Vehicle Information Center
Non Infinity Gold Sound- Jensen Accusound I believe
Mods/Upgrades-
- 4 New Upcountry Coils
- Kevin’s 2.25 BB
- 4 Doestech Shock Absorbers
- (All of this has been on the truck for about 3,000 miles. Many people ask why I chose to go with Upcountry coils and not OME. Well my coils were really sagged and I knew someone who worked at a delearship and could get me parts at cost so I got the upcountry coils for a great price.)
- 4 Courser Mud Terrains (31X10.5) with lots of tread left.
- Vehicle originally came with no privacy glass. I had the entire vehicle tinted with 20% film.
- Flowmaster 40 Series muffler with a 2.5 inch tailpipe exiting out the back via a Magnaflow Stainless Steel tip.
Repairs-
When I bought the vehicle (Febuary 12th 2004 with 97,519 miles), I brought it to my mechanic and told him to fix anything that needed fixing. The following was done-
-New Cat
-Front Rotors and Pads
-Front U-Joints replaced
-Changed oil in both differentials
-Oil and filter change
Over the summer, I had some more work performed.
-New Fuel Pump (Got it from my friend at the delearship. 100% Genuine Mopar)
-New Water Pump
-New Radiator
The oil has been changed every 3,000 miles and about 2 weeks ago, I replaced my rear brake lines, had the whole brake system bled and the transmission serviced. I had the pan on the tranny dropped and cleaned and refilled with ATF-3. Honestly, I had no intention to sell this Jeep for a little while but a good deal came up on a TJ and I’m going to jump on it.
Vehicle Condition-
This Jeep in my eyes is in good condition cosmetically. It has a dent on the drivers door and little bubble of rust forming on the tailgate. There are no real scratches on the paint but a few on the rear plastic bumper from loading and unloading things. The paint is shiny and has been waxed and buffed every month by me. (People think I am crazy for washing and waxing my jeep so much but I also have an M3 which I treat the same. Honestly, I am a little fanatical how clean and well cared for my cars are.) She has been washed weekly and is always hand washed. No car washes- I can't stand swirl marks. All my friends with Jeeps look at my Grand and comment how clean and good of shape it is in. For me it has hard to agree looking at my concourse condition BMW but for a Jeep, it is in good shape. The interior is clean with no rips or large stains anywhere.
Everything Else-
Right now my Jeep has 106,xxx miles. Runs great and wouldn’t hesitate to drive anywhere. Looking up on KBB for my area, I saw the average Private Party value was about $3,999. MY ASKING PRICE IS $3000 OBO. I AM LOCATED 25 MILES NORTH OF CHICAGO.
