i found this welder for sale and seams like a good deal but i cant find any info on the web anywere on it.
i realy want to know if this is equel or better that the lincoln sp175 plus. i know the side of the snap-on says 120 volt but wanted more info to see if it could be change to 220 volt.

hey bud.
ive been told that century made a lot of snap-ons welders. maybe you can run with that.

They weld ok but you will have a problem getting parts and service for it. Save your money and get a Miller, Lincoln or Hobart welder.

thanks for the help guys i think i will get a lincoln SP175 plus instead, if i have done my reserch right it will be the best at home machine for almost everything.

That looks a heckuva lot like the Century 83160 I have. I haven't had any problem with parts - and I had to fix a few things as I got it used. Notice the duty cycle. Miller & Lincolns entry-level 230V machines are only 30%@130 or something like that.
