Okay, I got a lead on a cheap axle(rear). It is supposed to be a FF D60 from a 72 Chevy. Now I thought that by that year they were using 14b. Is it possible??? Also, how old do you have to go before you run into the 28 spline stuff? ...And one more question, what rigs were the SF 6lug D60's sitting under?
TIA!

Only thing I know about them is that they were 6" offset pumpkins.

'67-72 3/4 & 1 tons were Eaton axles. I've seen dana 44's under the 1/2 tons but I don't know for sure. '73 was the first year for the 14 bolt.

Some of the older 1/2 tons had a rear 44. After the eaton was tapering out and before the 14 bolt you could get a D60 in the Chevy's. It was a FF centered diff with 30 spline axles. Not aware of any factory 6 lug SF 60's. Only 5 lug.
