I heard rumors last night that she was doing well. Exactly how well I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure she was happy. I sincerely hope she kicked ass today!

They were 1 point away from second place at the end of day one............ we were so stoked we were joaking about getting "team jackel" tatoos last night. :) .. luckly we didn't drink too much.

unfortunetley the front ARB granaded this morning on course 3

F-man, were you at the competition? I wondered how many rigs finally showed up.

Yeah, I was wondering if they really did have the "stock modified" group with such a small # of entries.

yea i was there, the chicks freaking kicked ASS!! Carnage was everywhere and the girls kept smiling!

Julie Mello won the stock modified and walked away with $500 and a new set of ProComp tires. no one claimed the $175 for third in the stock mod class. I think there was 10 rigs in the pro class.

Watch for the close up pics of the CTM 60 joints Tracy Jorden and Heather Charles were sportin

Well the courses were brutal.... Every bit as tough (some tougher  ) as the ARCA courses from last year's JV event. The women at this event were the top 10 finishers from last year's women's event. So even though there was a low turnout (only 11 competitors) they all had the baddest of the bad rigs, and they all were NOT afraid to get it AWN. 50% of the rigs had rear steer, and all but us had D60's front and rear. The smallest tires in the trophy class were Amy's 37" MTR's.

On day one Kelly was neck and neck in the race for the top, with only 1 point down on Tracy Jordan and Heather. The Jackyl and Kelly did a HELL of a job on day one. She was absolutely the crowd favorite. On day two, we ran into bad luck on obstacle two when the front ARB exploded. :( So we ended up DNF'ing on day two. Even with our DNF, we ended up in 6th place. We also won Four Wheeler Magazine's "Team Spirit Award" which was very cool. :cool2: Hopefully we will have better luck next time!

I will post the final scores and the limited pictures I have of the event soon... I know Flashlightman will have lots of pics posted on their site soon.

So there was only 2 entries in the "stock modified"? Hope they still keep that category for the fall.:D

For that matter, hope they still have it in the fall. Do you think that this event took too many people off-guard? Seems like it wasn't really publicized too much/ or was publicized too late.

They will definitely have both classes at all future events. I think you are right on the money regarding the low turnout for this event.

I just talked to Jeff the other half of team Mello. I was a little floored they took first. Lance/ Kelley, I heared the Warn's had some cool twists, too.

I told Matt a few weeks age we should have Michelle drive the TJ. Now it looks like we should not only have had Michelle drive, but we should have made the TJ fit the stock class for this comp too. It was fun at the shop today when we discussed placing at this event. I thought Michelle was using her Superman death stare to try to kill me. "But honey I thought you wanted a quarter million dollars worth of old Jeep parts instead of a running the womens RCC for the first season. Someone save me. Where's the pissed off Wife smilies?

No, Im driving in CalROCS next month. :flipoff2:

The event promotors require you to run the event sponsor's stickers. Procomp, and 4wheel parts, Skyjacker, and JP Offroad were the sponsors. :p

Lance is that head set part of your new job at the placerville McDonald's, or is that just a rumor that was started by the tinbenders.

Thanks Everybody...

I am glad I did well. Bummed about breaking and having to stop wheeling. The other obsticles that I could not attempt due to my unfortunate breakage, looked like ALOT of fun.

I have to say that it was still great to see the other chicks run. They are wheelin :nuke: . I am really glad and it was totally my pleasure to be able to meet those girls and wheel with them again. They are really awesome and really neat people. Hopefully, we can get together on a non-comp/party run someday.

I hope I did not disappoint anybody.

Grady's rig ("Jackyl") is AWESOME!!!! And HECK YEAH I would buy it if I weren't such a broke mo-fo. :D
