Does anyone know what common transmission has 1.75" 10 spline output? 4WD SM465?
I'm looking for a coupler from the output of my Brownie (1.75" 10 spl.) to the input of a NP205. And an adapter for that matter. Obviously a custom modification of something else to a NP205. The bearing retainer has a square bolt pattern with a 5.25" diameter bolt pattern.

All of the 4WD SM465s are 10 spline output 2WDs are 35

Charles the SM465 output is 1.375 10 spline ( 4wd )
the 2 wd is 1.500" 35 spline

FYI...... the 1.750 10 spline is medium/heavy truck stuff

clark or fuller trans maybe???:D

I want to do the same thing
who can make custom coupler?
where did you find your 'brownie'?
what made you choose that one?
dimensions?

I found my 5831B on Ebay. Its' ratios are 2.35, 1.00, 0.85. It is about 10" long plus big yokes which can be replaced with something smaller. Wagoner Machine can build an adapter to a NP205 for one. I'd guess for about $12-1400, and the result would be an unwieldy metallic mass weighing about 280 lbs, about 2' long with mounts on the right side of the 205, under the adapter and front of Brownie. It would have ratios of 0.85, 1.00, 1.66, 1.96, 2.35, and 4.61. The 2.35 would be the "low-2WD".

those ratios sound perfect.
.85 would split the tranny ratios nicely if it shifts smooth n easy
