: got 20" bob job on a scout II?
Sillyneck 02-17-2002, 09:51 PM It's a 20" bob and the back is ditched...thinking comando tail gate but probably just make my own. it'll have a big swingout rack...it has a 30 gallon fuel cell cube that'll sit between the framerails and up through the floor. We gutted the doors and skinned them..they'll have a tube or 2 in them for an arm rest...otherwise they are shaved and swing latched now. Removed upwards of 800 lbs during this sawing :D
Light scout is key :D Shooting for a 12 -13 sec q/m w/ that 460 screaming ;)
Sillyneck 02-17-2002, 09:52 PM uh oh!!! testosterone in the form of sawzall!!!!
Sillyneck 02-17-2002, 09:53 PM oh gawd look at that rear end raise up now!

jdjanda 02-17-2002, 11:38 PM What are you going to do for a fuel tank? Cell in the bed, or something more creative?

Sillyneck 02-18-2002, 09:38 AM that's an extreme blade for destruction rescue. Avail @ homedepot :D only took one blade. Yea the frame is chopped right infront of the original shackle hanger (the springs are inboarded front waggies)
I'll keep y'all posted. :D
door pics soon
ScoutsHonor 02-18-2002, 09:48 AM That looks about like what I did to mine... cut in about the same place. Only difference is I used an air-powered cutoff tool... went through about 40 blades doing it too... :flipoff2:
Spent the better part of a weekend with the damn noise of an air compressor constantly running... but heres what it looked like when all said and done... I'm building a tailgate and stuff for it right now...

Didn't you have this problem before? Post pics on the WORLD WIDE WEB and this kind of thing can happen.
It was:rainbow: when you bitched about it the first time it happened but you obviously didn't do a damn thing about it and look what happened......

Rubicrawler 03-21-2002, 07:17 PM Hey Phil- I was up at Mike's place on Wednesday and took the chance to checkout the Sillyfab Scout. It's looking great :skull:
Why don't you consider using 1/8" diamond plate to fill in the space's in back? I've seen a '60's Ford truck in Oakley that had this done and it looks great. Just an idea
Keep up the good work!

 Havn't seen a good smack down like that for a while!!! :D
twistedmetal 03-22-2002, 06:00 PM The problem with the factory endcaps is that all you gotta do is tap the outside of the cap and the taillight lenses pop out. The straight cut(mine) looks funny, but worked. The end caps were a perfect mold of the rear 1/4 panel and built out of 7 ga. Function.
As for the "smackdown?" He had it coming. I lost $250 and a new set of SX's because of him. :rainbow:
