i juss picked up a 87 ford bronco II and it doesnt start and pushed down on the vavle on the fuel rail while my buddy was cranking on it and no fuel came out so im guessing its a fuel pump and was wondering if i could run and external fuel pump in the line instead of the tank and how i would set it up any ideas????

It already has two pumps...the low pressure is in the tank, and there is a high pressure pump on the frame rail just behind the left radius arm mount.
It could be the fuel pressure regulator, the pumps, the wiring, or a relay.

About where the passengers left toes would be is a FP shutoff switch, might try resetting that.
