I was watching a few guys out at Carnegie this weekend and one guy told me about this bolt on kit made by ?______? that swaps my crappy ifs for a pair of 1989-91 jeep yj axles. If anybody can help me or has heard anything about this can u help me?

Hope this isn't a full size IFS, might look a little funny with the tires underneath the truck. But I've seen SAS for S-10s that were bolt in, but can't remember the company that did it.

Stage West I believe, was covered in one of the mags quite a few years ago.

Stagewest no longer makes their leaf spring kit for them.. there is a company that makes a coil sprung kit...although I dont believe it is "bolt on"

Swap in a Dana 44 at least. Don't swap your IFS for a Dana 30, it is weaker than your IFS unit.

fabritech builds the kit i think

Actually a D30 is stronger and more reliable than s-10 IFS. But if you're going to the trouble, might as well put a 44 under it.

yea fabritech and stagewest and the stagewest kit isnt made anymore. there was a website for the fabritech but i cant find it. it was a little pricey i heard though, cheaper to do it yourself.

with the amount of work involved with the SFA swap it would just as easy to fab everything yourself, if you want to do the stagewest style go to s10extremist.org and look in the Technical Articles and the bbs there are alot of information about it there

well i figure its a waste of money to lift my ifs so i need some good solid axles, i think i wanna go springs instead of leaves, but i really dont want to make this a long and drawn out project, because it is my daily driver.

Building a rig is a long drawn out process no matter what anyone tells you. You always run into problems and you're never really done. But thats why we do it :D
