Well three years of attending Forest Service Planning Meetings may be paying off. Here is the detailed info I got regarding the next Bankhead Liaison Panel Meeting.

Date: March 7, 2002
Time: 7:00 PM
Place: Moulton Parks and Recreation Center,
Alexander Park
Moulton AL

The Objective for this meeting is to provide for each member of the panel and
the attending public to discuss and provide individual ideas regarding future
recreation use on the Bankhead National Forest for the upcoming Forest and Land
Management Plan revision. In preparation for the meeting please consider what
you consider the positive and negative sides of these issues. Topics will
include:

Horseback Riding (Existing Trails vs. Expanded Trails)
ATV Riding (Designated Trails vs. Open Forest Policy
4-Wheel Drive (Any New Opportunities)
Hiking Trails

We need to make a good showing for this and support opening the Forest to Four
Wheel Drive opportunities.
