For those of you that haven't seen it over on ck5, here ya go: Still got some finishing touches to do. Rebuilding the carb tommorrow and replacing the alternator. Other than that though, it's ready to rock. Been down 2.5 years. Nice to be behind the wheel of a 4x4 again!!!http://community.webshots.com/user/capn_insano79

Very nice Bryan. Been a long time coming huh?

You going to Disney? I've got some things I want to look at on that thing in person :D I've got to get my tranny ready to go back in and then it's bumper time. Should have it all done by the end of march

Looks good!

Do you by chance have any better photos of the front of the cage where you ran it through the dash board? Did you run in to any problams running it through the dash?
Looks like you welded some plate from the roll bar to the windsheild pillar, did you box it with two plates and drill the holes or did you just put one plate on each side?
I am getting ready to start building a new cage and was planning on doing something very simaller to the windsheild pillar. I have a 75 blazer and I wanted to stiffen up the windsheild frame so that when I roll it over hopefully I will not screaw up the windsheild.
Any detailed info would be great, thanks!

Kyle, i'm gonna try like hell to make it to disney. Trying to round up a tow rig for the sand drags in amarillo this weekend as we speak.

I had pics of the cage but they're lost on orc somewhere. Now that I have the webshots thing, I'll get some new pics together in the next day or two. Running the cage through the dash is the only way to go imho. It's easy as pie. Just had to cut a little bit of metal back there and notch the dash pad. You could easily make it look a lot better than I did. The plates are 10 ga with 1" holes punched in them. I cut and punched them at work, then welded them in at home. The reason for them is since I ran the cage so close to the body, I didn't want them flexing independently and cracking the winshield out. I'll get some new pics up asap.
