hey-- just got done installing poly motor and trans mounts into my xj... i got them from rusty, and now the car has a nasty vibration below 1300 rpm. i had to trim some of the outside poly off the driver side one to make it fit, and am thinking that the motor is contacting the mount it's self... anyone know? could it be the trans mount? any help?
thanks

Just installed same in my TJ, vibrates only at idle as well. Increased rpm "smooths out" the engine. It can be worse on an xj.

I put one inch poly motor mounts on my YJ and the edge of the mount contacted part of the engine. It made an annoying vibration. Had my muffler guy cut a bit of it away with a torch and the problen was solved. Look for metal to metal contact
