Hello to everyone. Awesome website. Compaired to most of the x-treme stuff I've read on this site my swap is pretty plain and "old school" so I'm sure someone will have some simple answers for me. I'm putting a 10 spline SM465 out of my 79 K30 into my 85 CJ. I plan on using the stock Dana 300. I'm leaning towards the Novak adapter which should keep drivetrain the same length as the stock 258/T-5. I was just wondering if anyone recommended a different adapter. Are the Rube adapters any better? Also what's the best way of getting the stock Jeep clutch linkage to work with the GM engine/tranny setup. I don't really want or need to switch to hydraulic if I can make linkage work easy enough. Thanks.

I bought the Novak 1" adapter for the 465 to my D18/20 and it's sweet - I did have to replace the mainshaft of the transmission, which gave me opportunity to replace the counter gear and all the bushings, bearings and seals. I like it -

Good luck -

I recommend the Atlas Adaptors chain sprocket set-up for the clutch..I find it smoother and doesn't bind with flex. :D
