I somehow got sucked into helping a buddy swap a 5.0 into his scrambler.
it currently has a manual clutch setup and was wondering if there is a popular way to convert over to a hyro clutch with a master and slave cylinder ?

Camo what Bell housing is he using, tranny etc? Jeepskate has a good artical on his website. I did the conversion with over the counter parts. I used a AA Bh to mount my NV4500 to the AMC engine. So there was a mount for the slave there. Here is a link to Jaffers site:

I used all willwood stuff on mine since I had to fab custom brackets anyways. Wasn't to tough and got it done a resonable price. Just a thought.

Call up parts Mike in Cali. He can set you up with everything you need. He will also tell you where to get used parts if need be. If you have a junkyard nearby check out a 1980-2 cj pretty sure with a four banger. The only question I have is what bellhousing are you using.
Mike's number is 530-885-0673

Ditto the Parts Mike. I went with the hydro setup when I did my T-18 swap. Got everything from him.

If you don't get a whole setup out of one vehicle and mix and match the slave and master cylinders don't forget size. Not sure it matters on a 5.0, but on my diesel, I had to go with a small bore master cylinder, and large bore slave cylinder so I could keep the pedel pressure at a reasonable level.
I agree, Parts Mike helped me with mine.
I bought the Novak kit and couldn't get it to work without alot of fab work and buying more parts so after a trip to PM's I bought his set up and it works flawlessly.
I still have the novak kit for sale :flipoff2:
