I am thinking about buying a 92 Renegade, that has been hit in the front corner. So of course the fiberglass flairs that these Jeeps have is busted up.
Can i buy the piece to fix this?
Is it much work to take them flairs off and put normal flairs on it? Or will there be a lot of holes to fill in in the body?
What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance

got a friend(St. Hood) with one. All the holes are like under the tub lip, fender well lip, etc. He's got his all built up, and although its a pretty wide body it wheels good...and I like the goofy looks:rasta:

Yeah, I really dont mind the look of them either.

So you are saying that the normal flares would cover up the holes?

Thanks again

I'll say 'yes', before St. Hood's was lifted we had to zip tie it together at some point during every trip! None of the mounting locations were visable, except from below.

I would wheel it because it's weird. Thrash it untill all the funky stuff falls off.

Some info on removing the flares may be found here
http://www.off-road.com/projectjeep/

As far as the Renegades go you really like them or really hate them. I enjoy mine because it's different than the frat poser jeeps that run around where I live. And I like the way the flares look on the back and sides. The front I don't like so much, but it's an all or nothing deal. I'm working on a new bumper and brushguard (just a hoop or something) to try and clean it up.

As far as the trails go... yeah your gonna scratch the flares up a little (or rip them off :D) I have various scratches all over mine, but hey it's a jeep, and chicks dig scars.

Here is mine... I have since replaced the 32's with 31's (more room to flex with a 3" lift 32's rubbed everywhere) But I will be running 33's once I move to a 4" lift (i refuse to run a bl) No trail monster but a good DD and fun to mess with on the weekends.

Once I buy a digital camera I will have some wheelin shots.... The others were from borrowed camera's... It's not the pavement pounder the pics make it out to be :D

Sorry for doubting you, but it sure does look like they should come apart at the step??????

From those pics, it looks like there is the front piece, the step and a rear piece, no??????

Thanks for the pics and info.

Let me take a look when I get out of work and re-post. That break may just be a molded line, but I could be wrong (and usually am :))

I assumed your question pertained to the fender and flare being one piece... not the flare from front to back.

Just looked tonight. They flares come off in three pieces. Front, sidestep, and rear. Good luck :)
