I just bought a 2000 3/4 ton Yukon XL with autoride for my daily driver and tow rig. I'd like to lift it 4" and put 33's on it. My friend at a four wheel shop told me to put the Fabtech 6" drop bracket lift (keeps the autoride shocks) on it, use smaller blocks in the rear and turn the torsion bars down 2". He said the front would ride real soft but since this thing won't see the dirt it would make for a nice street ride. He also said the cv angles would be fine after lowering the torsion bars 2".

What do you all think?

Thanks-
Craig

It's gonna be pretty wishy washy in the corners with a heavy suv and a super soft ride.

Adjusting the torsion bars doesn't change their rate. It will be just as stiff/soft as it is now (till you hit the bump stop that is).

Will I hit the bump stops with the torsion bars turned down 2""?

I guess I'm a bitch because I'm looking for a 4" lift and you're Joey Big Wheel Tough Guy because you've got a 6" lift.

Just saying don't be affaid of 2 more inches (that's what she said ) in fact the 6" fabteck lift only comes with 4" blocks for the rear It's a very nice lift
brings oem speck back besides arms sit on bump stops from factory and also on 6" lift

If you read my original post you would see I'm looking to lift my daily driver and tow rig. This tow rig will pull my dual axle trailer and rock crawler. Maybe I'm mistaken but I thought this site was about rock crawling.
