I found a 1990 Chev Suburban 2500 at the junkyard and thought it would have a Dana 60 front axle. Did Dana 60 only come in 1 ton? Looks more like a Dana 44 but is an 8 lug. Is that possible? It also has a 14 bolt rear. Is that full floating or semi floating? I'm not completely clear on the difference but have read that a Detroit locker will not fit in the semi floating type.

doubt it. unless some one put it in there, it has a 10blt front. the rear could be either but is most likly a 14sf.
10blt and 14sf covers look like eggs.
a 14blt ff looks like a diamond. sideways. full floats have a second set of bolts on the end of each hub,
the 60 44 covers will look the same but the 60 is bigger.
44 has ball joints. 60 has king pins.
