Ok, so, I've got a set of FJ60 axles that I'm planning on slinging under my FJ40 for some extra width when I go springover. But I'd like just a little more width, if possible.

So, I was thinking of putting the mini truck hubs on the FJ60 front axle. This would leave me with a 61" wide front, and a 58" wide rear.

Is that going to be fine? I know that lots of vehicles came from the factory with the fronts an inch or so wider than the rear for tracking purposes, but I haven't heard of more than that on anything but prerunners.

yup, that will work fine. It will track better.

i really like my 61.5" Waggy D44 front and 58.5" Toy rear, the rear follows the front much better, which I need with 115" wheelbase.

What makes it track better? I am getting a D44HP and aD60 ready to swap in my van and the front is definately gonna be wider than the rear...sounds like a good thing.
